Z-FOLD A method used to fold a continuous sheet of paper into a deck of standard 8" x 11" (or other) dimensions. The continuous sheet is folded alternately to the left (and then right, left, right, etc.) onto itself after every page length. In the case of a continuous sheet of 8" width, the fold is made after every 11 inches. Dot-matrix printers can usually accommodate both z-fold paper and sheets cut to size. Z-fold is an alternate term for fanfold. See also ACCORDION FOLD; DOT-MATRIX PRINTER; FANFOLD PAPER
